Here at Performance Parts Plus we are a family run business, Barry and I purchased the business in 2004. Barry had come from a background of Drag Racing and had always wanted to own his own business and when the opportunity came up, we jumped at the chance.
When the business was purchased, it was a mechanical workshop that specialized in carburetor rebuilds called The Carby Centre. We started Performance Parts Plus to coincide with the existing shop. So, after many years of putting every bit of the time and money back into the business and growing our range of performance parts it got to the point where we could not do both. We decided to close down the mechanical side of the business and focus on Performance Parts Plus.
We are now the largest performance shop in North Queensland and recently started our wholesale division and we are now supplying many automotive shops up and down the east coast of Australia. We carry performance products for all your vehicle / race needs, and we are one of only two wholesales of Aeroflow Performance Products in Queensland. We are also one of the original six that were chosen to sell and test the Aeroflow Performance Products brand in Australia. Aeroflow are a widely popular, fast growing brand and still adding new products all the time. We also stock many other brands such as Turbo Smart, Mickey Thompson, ARP, Haltech, Holley, MSD, Zamp, Brad Penn Oil, PSR Tyres and many others.
