The factory single-row 8mm pitch Simplex timing chain in Ford Barra DOHC 6-cylinder engines is adequate for stock setups — but in high-performance builds, it quickly becomes a known weak point.

The Atomic Heavy Duty Timing Chain solves that with a double-row true roller design offering nearly twice the tensile strength of the OEM chain. Constructed with 50–60% thicker locking plates, it resists stretch and chain whip even in engines with heavier valve springs, higher RPM, and big boost.
